    Finances it is!
After taking my inventory, it appears that saving money would help me to achieve more than one item on my list: to eventually replace the depressing old furniture we have, take a trip to be reunited with family, and to buy some bins to organize my freezer. We aren’t big spenders, so all this potential “shopping” would be unusual for us…. but I think it’s overdue.

Great analysis. Taking the birds’ eye view of life really does help us drill down, doesn’t it? Can’t wait to see how your plans for money management evolve this month!

I’m going with family. When dh went back to school, regular dates and family time went out the window. He graduated last spring but we didn’t get back into those habits. No wonder my stress level/ability to cope is slim to none (my primary love language is quality time), which is not good since our daughter is getting married in one month.
A close second is household–I dislike shopping, so I want to work on automating as much of the shopping as I can. I think that will be my June focus.

Family sounds like a great starting point! Good eye in seeing that those habits never came back!

My first area of focus is health. I’m aiming for more energy. I’m trying to resist the urge to jump into other areas (it’s hard!) but I know focusing on building solid energy and wellbeing is the best place for me to begin.

Definitely resist the urge to do all the things. Putting your focus on your health is wise and will pay off in all those other areas in time!

I think I want to focus on family and relationships and leisure. I know the focus should be on one area. But for me, I need to learn how to have fun again. I think being in “mom mode” so long and “get things done” mentality, that I have lost my ability to chill and have fun. I seriously don’t know how to play anymore. My daughter wants me to play horses or with toys, and I freeze. I need to see play and family fun as just as important as getting chores done.

Looking forward to hearing how you work through this. It’s a great focus. Remember it can be as simple as just saying yes. Also, ask your daughter how to play and see what she says!
