We’re going more for a mix-and-match plan this year. I filled in the planner with things I know they like and I’m going to make sure I have some of those things on hand each week. I also keep boxed mac and cheese, dried pasta, and frozen tortellini or ravioli on hand for lunches.

      Sounds like a great plan!

The whole family is home for lunches, so I usually just reheat leftovers from dinner for everyone. While doing this homework, though, I realized that if I have a rotation planned out with things we can easily grab for lunch, then I can save those dinner leftovers for… dinner, of all things. The result, I hope, will be that I don’t need to cook dinner as often and will be able to use that time for other things!

Sounds like a double win. Good thinking, Hannah!
